Actress Foluke Daramola’s husband, Olukayode Salako, a social wellbeing advocator in Nigeria and the National Coordinator, Change Agent of Nigeria Network ( CANN ) has said, Trump own assessment of Africa as being fundamentally sick was indeed very right.
Salako on his popular nugget ‘Fact File’ discussed about the just concluded American Presidential election that returned Republican’s Donald Trump as the next American President, in a post he tagged; ‘STILL ON THE AMERICAN ELECTION’. He said;
"I was telling a friend sometime ago that Trump could win, but he offered a bet of 1m naira with me. If I had bet it with him, I would have been coasting home with his 1million naira by now. And that is if he would be sincere about the deal. I told him America is not Nigeria.”
“I said for Donald Trump to have got to that stage in the election then, he could be the choice of the traditional American white supremacists and that they will do anything to make him rule the country. Don't forget, they have 70% of the vote.”
“So, all along, he is the one they were listening to. He is the one that was appealing to their mentality about the situation. The way we reason in Nigeria is not the way they reason in America. Trump is what they want. And they have put him there. Just the way Buhari was what the ruling system in Nigeria wanted, and they put him there, with or without our votes, Jonathan must have to go.”
“All they want is Africa to stop governing the world in the Obama Presidency. And that is why they had to decide to reverse the situation. Now, power is back to the colonial masters in their own mentality...But, Trump in his own assessment of Africa was indeed very right. Africa is still fundamentally sick. All we know how to do is survive; run after ourselves in bed ; destroy our own continent and leave the rest to the controversial 'God' to come and fix.”
