‘Virginal Festival’ Turns Bloody In Ondo!

In a rather bizarre manner, a middle-aged man was at the weekend stabbed to death at Omotosho in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State during the celebration of annual ‘Obo’ (vagina) Festival in the town.

The victim, Mr. William Adesoji, was killed at Flasher Hotel during the celebration of the strange festival dubbed ‘Obo Festival’.

A source said that every customer was feted to wild and unending entertainment by buying only a bottle of beer, which qualified him or her to drink others freely to his or her satisfaction; all on the management’s bill.

While others, who don’t drink, would join the climax of the festival where sex becomes a free-for-all competition for the strongest and bravest; also with rewarding prizes for the competitors.

“The real game is that a mattress would be placed in the open, while a male customer would engage one of the prostitutes in a marathon bout of sex.

“Both would be rewarded with cash gifts ranging between N5,000 and N10,000, depending on performance,” another source said. The source added that the deceased was in a frenzy mood before the tragic incident.

“The game was on when the wife of the proprietor asked one of the customers to stand up from a chair, claiming that she was sitting on it.

The argument degenerated into the woman slapping the man. “Not knowing what had transpired, the deceased rushed to the scene, grabbed a bottle, broke it and dealt it on the head of the customer (name withheld) now in the hospital under police surveillance.

“A friend of the man, who was with her (the proprietor’s wife) also picked up a bottle, broke it and stabbed William in the stomach, bringing out his intestines.

He died on the spot.” The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Femi Joseph, however, said he had no details of the incident.

'Its so for me to post this but I have no choice than to post it for others to learn from it.
For some of us travelling home this Christmas time I know things are hard the cost of chicken is so expensive but please instead of stealing it you better beg the owner for it. Or better still eat from your neighbour.

This young girl is from my neighboring community, she has been coming to my community to steal chicken in one poultry farm where the owner of the farm does not use to sleep there, and the owner knowing that his chicken has been missing decided to be sleeping in his farm. Unfortunately for the girl this time she was caught and couldn't run away again as she use to.
Today is Christmas Eve hoping to fry the chicken tomorrow Christmas'.

Hmm. I hope you know Christmas is not all about eating and drinking? It is the right time for us to love, care and reflect on God's love for us.

Merry Xmas.

Buhari To Christians: Respect Constituted Authority, Be Your Brothers’ Keepers (Full Text)

Dear Compatriots,
I heartily rejoice with all Nigerians, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters, on this year's celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate this year’s Christmas, I believe that it is very appropriate for us to reflect on the love of God aptly espoused in the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.
During his earthly sojourn, Jesus Christ repeatedly reminded his disciples and followers of peace that comes in the midst of trials and tribulations on earth.
There is no better time than now in our nation’s history to pray for divine guidance to get over our current challenges.

We can have peace in Nigeria if we all learn to tolerate and appreciate one another, respect constituted authority; and be our brothers’ keepers in word and deed.
During this period, we should remember to offer special prayers to God for all our heroic citizens who paid the supreme price to restore peace and security in the North East and other flash points in the country.
Let us also remember in our prayers the security forces in the frontline in the continuing battle to rid our nation of terrorism and violence. We must not forget the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in our midst and those who have suffered untold hardship as a result of activities of insurgents and terrorists.
Our immediate priority is to alleviate the poverty of Nigerians by quickly stimulating the economy.

I assure Nigerians that our government is doing its best to make life easier for all.

Let us therefore, renew our hope in the God-ordained unity, progress and prosperity of our great nation.

I wish all travellers safe movements and a memorable holiday as we celebrate with our family and friends.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”  ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

The chairman of Etoks Communications, Classic International Magazine and founder of Deacon Iyke Kanu Foundation, Iyke Lawson Kanu on Tuesday 20th December 2016 paid courtesy call on Little Saints Orphanage Home (Akowonjo Boys Hostel) as part of activities to mark his birthday, Deacon Iyke Kanu earlier in the day had a thanksgiving service at Christ Royal Family International Church, Egbeda before proceeding to the Orphanage home.

Receiving the generous donations in cash and materials, the Administrator of the Orphanage, Mrs. Tina Odion poured unending encomium on the astute businessman cum philanthropist, describing him as a father and generous giver, Mrs. Tina told newsmen that for fifteen years running, Deacon Kanu has remained their best and most trusted and reliable donor and partner.  She further said some of their students are on scholarship courtesy of Deacon Kanu.

She equally used the medium to call on other donor agencies and well meaning Nigerians to emulate Deacon Kanu’s selfless and life of charity especially during this yuletide season.
However, while fielding questions from men of the press, Deacon Kanu who has built several churches and contributed immensely not just to the orphanage but to the body of Christ and other vulnerable members of the society said he has a pact with God to make him the biggest financier of His Kingdom here on earth; stressing that the most fulfilled life is when you live for others and not by the amount of money you have in your account.

He further recalled an encounter he had with God some years back that took him from obscurity to limelight, where God visited him and gave him a word in Isaiah 45:2-3, “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in asunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that, I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel”.
The author of Christian business manual, “Harnessing God’s Grace For Business Success”, in order to reach out to more people and extend his hands of fellowship to even the downtrodden in the society who are yet to have a first time meeting with him, decided to endow a Foundation that people can access him easily through.  Deacon Iyke Kanu Foundation is already registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and due for official unveiling in January 2017.

He summarized by giving praises to his maker, God Almighty for the grace to be alive to witness yet another birthday.

How I started Singing At Age 9 - Gospel Artiste, T.Moss Discloses

Fast rising Gospel artiste, Osho Oluwatobi aka T.Moss is no doubt becoming a force to reckon with in the industry. He is a talented and anointed worship minister.
In this interview, he spoke on how music started for him, his plans, and many more.

Q – Whois T. Moss?
R - I'm Osho Oluwatobi, also Known as T.Moss. A graduate of covenant University and i'm a Gospel artiste
Q - What is music to you?
R - Music is life to me, I believe the only element that was created in heaven by God is music, it's a very powerful tool in accessing the deep spiritual realms and the supernatural and that is why the devil is capitalizing on the tool called music to influence the lives of our youth today, what you see and hear consistently is what you become
Q - How and when did music start for you?
R - It started at the age of 9. I joined the adult church choir at that age, started backing up for praise and worship then from there, one of the Sundays I was asked to lead the praise and worship and it was very awesome. People applauded me. I felt so fulfilled even though it was just praise and worship.
After some time, One of our church Member who later became a music producer, Adejumo Omotayo AKA Rocky Tee, he is the CEO of Platforms record, helped me a lot to build my music ministry. I recorded my first song titled ' You Lift Me' with him and also did other songs like I Give All, Eyin Baba, Osuba, to mention a few.

Furthermore, Someone that also helped me grow in my music was my secondary school Music teacher, Mr Jegede. He started everything in me, he had interest in me the first day he heard me sing, even though I didn't know he was watching me. He put me in the school choir and everything started from there.
Q - While growing up, did you ever envisage being a full time Musician?
R - Yes, i've always known. There was a time in church when I was around 11 years old, the pastor told us to close our eyes and whatever we see is what we will become in future. I closed my eyes and saw myself standing in front of thousands of people singing and leading them in worship and by God's grace, everything is coming into fulfillment.

 Q - Why Gospel Music?
R - I believe the reason we have music in the first place is 'cos God created it in heaven. I've always had this passion and the zeal to use the gift for God and inspire other people who are coming up so they can also believe that the special gift given to them is from God and should be used for him. I find joy in ministering and inspiring people.
Q - Do you feel Gospel artistes are well appreciated compared to secular artistes?
R - No! Of course in Nigeria, Gospel artistes are not well appreciated because of the way the industry has been designed. The industry is designed just to favour the secular artistes. You want to invite a secular artiste to come and perform at your wedding for just 30mins, You pay him N6Million but you invite a gospel artiste and start negotiating. I'm not saying the motive of the gift is for money but what i'm saying is in this part of the world, we are not well appreciated.
Q - If you were given $100,000 to feature in a secular song, would you?
R - No, I won't. It's like selling the reason I live for money, I won't by the help of the holy spirit.
Q - Looking at the industry today, a lot of artistes are on the rise, some with content and some with less content, what stands you out?
R - What stands me out is very simple. The first thing is the grace of God and the second thing is uniqueness which comes with a lot of hard work. We've not even started, we've not gotten to the place wants us to be.

Q - Let's talk about your song with Kenny Kore, how does it feel working with him?
R - Yea! My song with Kenny Kore, Atobajaiye, very awesome and wonderful song. I thank God for the. People God use to bring the song into a reality from being a vision. I thank God for the CEO of Kharisma Records, California. God uses him powerfully. It was awesome but some of my fans were of the suggestion that they would have preferred a worship song and we are planning towards that presently. Very soon, we are going to plan a worship medley and people are going to be blessed.
Working with Kenny Kore on that song was an awesome experience for men i've always loved his music, he is unique. He does different genre of Music, when the opportunity came, Pastor Promise Adeyemi just spoke to me and asked 'Tobi, who do you want to work with' the first person that came to my mind was kenny Kore. It's an experience i'll never forget.
Q - What inspired the song?
R - the inspiration behind the song is we serve a Great God who rules over everything, created man, mighty God so I was just meditating on the greatness of God when the rhythm came and that was it.
Q - Who are those you look up to in the ministry?
R - I look up to a lot of people both home and abroad. The people God is using mightily when it comes to Gospel Music. I look up to Nathanie Bassey, Sinach, Sammy Okposo, Onos, Efe Nathan, Florocka, those who understand what ministry and music is all about. Across Nigeria, I look up to Micah Stampey, Isreal Houston, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribett, J.Moss. J.moss especially influenced my style of music, I fell in love with him on the first day I listened to him.
Q - What should your fans expect in 2017?
R - They should be looking out for spirit filled songs, songs that heal without laying hands, by the help of the Holy Spirit. I pray God gives us the grace to complete the work. God bless all my fans, they are all amazing.

OAP Freeze Takes A Shot At Winner’s Oyedepo, Calls Him ‘Yahoo Boy Pastor’

“It beats me that a pastor worth $150 million dollars, who owns more than one private jet cannot provide 24 hr electricity for Ota, which has a population of less than 2 million people.” These were the words of controversial Cool FM OAP who took a shot at some Pastors who are swimming in wealth while their followers are suffering.
Freeze specifically took a swipe at Winner’s Church  General Overseer,  Bishop David Oyedepo who he said despite his stupendous wealth could not provide some of the usual basic amenities for his host community.

 He wrote on his Instagram page;
What a beautiful morning, almost 10am and I have so many reasons to smile! There is nothing wrong with wearing or owning luxury products. Everything I own ‘I’ work for, everything these yahoo boy pastors own, ‘YOU’ WORKED FOR!
That’s why I am an evangelist not a priest or pastor and I have never collected tithe or offering from anyone I preach the word to, in fact, I even give to some of those I preach to.
When, if at all, I’m called by God to be a pastor, I will have auditors audit the offering and gifts and annually the entire church will know how the funds were utilized to the last kobo. If I attempt to do otherwise, feel free to remind me of this post!

If the man in Ota sold one of his private jets, it would educate his students free for nearly 40years, do the math, and this will enable them obtain quality education for those who can’t afford it, empowering and enlightening the next generation. Akon provided electricity for almost 2 million homes in Africa free of Charge, it beats me that a pastor worth $150 million dollars, who owns more than one private jet cannot provide 24 hr electricity for Ota, which has a population of less than 2 million people.
Jesus never took, he gave instead, he fed the multitude more than once and he instructed our first pastors, the 12 disciples, not to own more than one coat, the disciples even complained of being in rags, homeless and hungry, so how come our pastors are the exact opposite of the disciples?
Matthew 10:8-10 KJV

[8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. [9] Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, [10] Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
1st Corinthians chapter 4 verse 11: To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. 12We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; 13when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth.
